Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin (OLCHC) is Ireland’s largest paediatric hospital. As an acute paediatric teaching hospital, OLCHC are responsible for the majority of tertiary care services for children in Ireland including the national centre for cardiac surgery and haematology/oncology, major burns, medical genetics and medical research for childhood illnesses. Each year the Hospital treats over 24,500 inpatients/day cases, 30,100 E.D. attendances, 76,000 Out Patient attendances and performs over 13,500 operating procedures. Since the hospital’s establishment the needs of patients, and their families, continue to grow and we have maintained a consistent relationship with OLCHC, in the continuous expansion and development of their available services and infrastructure, to ensure that optimum health care services are relentlessly delivered. As the engineers for the original construction of the hospital, since then have provided civil and structural engineering and project supervisor for the design process (PSDP) services on many essential hospital projects including: Medical Tower Accident and Emergency Department Extension and Refurbishment HSCT Lab St Michael’s Ward Extension and Refurbishment including a Cystic Fibrous (CF) Unit CAT 3 Laboratory Genetics Extension and Refurbishment St Joseph’s Ward Refurbishment Paediatric Intensive Care Unit Kitchen Refurbishment Cardiology Inpatient Unit St. John’s Ward Extension and Refurbishment including the requirement for a temporary bone marrow unit
